From MissLyraDesigns to Studio Artisan Sky: Building What Was Missing

Happy Anniversary to Studio Artisan Sky!

One year later, and it still feels like the beginning.

Not because nothing has changed,
but because everything finally makes sense.

This anniversary isn’t just about time.
It’s about what was built, intentionally, from the ground up.

It didn’t start as a studio

It started as a need.

Back in February 2022, MissLyraDesigns wasn’t created as a formal business.
It was a creative outlet, a space to design beyond the structure of corporate work.

At that point, I was already helping brands.
Branding projects.
Social media support.
Creative direction, quietly happening behind the scenes.

But I wasn’t visible. I was doing the work, just not owning it publicly.

The moment I started showing up

That changed when someone pushed me to step forward.

A mentor encouraged me to share my work, to put it out there, to stop hiding behind execution and start claiming it.

That’s when MissLyraDesigns officially came to life.

Clients started coming in, slowly but steadily.
Branding projects.
Social media retainers.
Collaborations that showed this could be more than just a side project.

There was momentum.

When something works…
but doesn’t last

But momentum without structure doesn’t hold.

As corporate work picked up and life got busier,
the consistency faded.

I stopped posting.
I stopped showing up.
And eventually, I stepped away from it.

Not because the work wasn’t there, but because the foundation wasn’t strong enough to sustain it.

2025: The shift that changed everything

In 2025, something shifted.

Around April to May, I called a friend, a bestie I’ve known since my De La Salle University days.

What started as a simple conversation turned into a clear decision. MissLyraDesigns had outgrown what it was.

It wasn’t just a creative outlet anymore. It needed structure. Direction. A stronger foundation.

So we decided to build something new. That’s when Studio Artisan Sky was born.

But more than a name, we defined how we wanted to show up.

A tandem.
A partnership.
Your creative bestie.

Ronessa led the strategy, shaping positioning, clarity, and direction while becoming the client-facing voice. I led the creative, translating that strategy into visuals, systems, and execution.

It worked because it wasn’t separate.

We weren’t handing things off. We were building things together.

A tight, aligned process where strategy and design moved as one.

We didn’t just launch. We built the foundation first

We took our time.

From May to June 2025, we focused on what most people skip:

  • Defining our process

  • Structuring our services

  • Building our website with intention

  • Creating templates and internal systems

  • Setting up client portals for a better experience

Because we knew one thing for sure:

If the backend isn’t clear, the frontend will always feel off.

This time, it wasn’t about launching fast. It was about building something that could actually last.

Why June 18 matters

June 18 wasn’t just a launch date.

It was the point where everything aligned.

The process.
The structure.
The visuals.
The direction.

Studio Artisan Sky became more than a creative outlet. It became a studio built on clarity, intention, and systems, not just aesthetics.

What actually changed

This wasn’t just a rebrand.

It was a shift in how we work.

From:

  • Creating visuals → Building brand systems

  • Taking projects → Designing structured processes

  • Reacting to client needs → Leading with strategy

We stopped treating branding as design alone. And started treating it as something that needs to function in real life.

What we believe now

Studio Artisan Sky exists because we’ve seen the gap.

Brands investing in visuals without clarity.
Websites trying to fix what wasn’t defined.
Content created without direction.

We don’t believe in starting with design. We believe in building the foundation first, so everything that follows actually makes sense.

One year later

Happy Anniversary to Studio Artisan Sky.

Not just for launching, but for building something with intention.

And this time, it’s built to last.
